Our politicians have proven to be what we always knew them to be- selfish, corrupt, and uncaring idiots. Whether it was Chief Minister of Maharashtra,Vilasrao Deshmukh, who inspected the damage at the Taj, taking along prominent filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. (Yes, Mr Deshmukh, such a fabulous movie plot the attacks were.) Or R.R. Patil whose words were along the lines of "in such big cities, such small incidents happen." And of course the CM of Kerela who insulted the family of a commando who died saving our city. They are all idiots, who do not deserve to be in power. And this time, the people of Bombay seem to be voicing this out.
There have been many protests, rallies and candlelight vigils in Bombay, since the attacks. And every day I wake up in my stupid developed world (which I anyway dislike) wishing I was back in Bombay, on the streets, screaming my lungs out, being a part of this demand for change and using some kind of photojournalism to spread the word. But I am not. So I borrow the pictures clicked by a friend of a friend (Kunal) at a rally on 3rd December 2008 at Gateway of India.
